Testing instructions below each CDI
Most ATVs have a green/white wire to the F - R switch
This wire must be grounded when in F or there will be no spark when engaging starter.

First unplug everything from CDI. You need to check resistance, yellow to green and grey to blue on stator side. Should be 200 Ω each. Red to brown should be 300 Ω. No resistance from any of these wires to ground. Black/red must be grounded by ign switch when on. Black must be ground always. Black/white must not be grounded. Coil primary orange should be 0.5 Ω. If all this is true, CDI is bad. NOTICE, this CDI will only work with a OEM Yamaha ignition switch!
